I am that person who has been collecting recipes for years. I like to take magazines in the car (when Bruce is driving of course!) and use that time to go through them. They have piled up. Although I had great intentions, I never really used them. Let's be honest, I have been doing that for over 20 years. I just threw them in a photo box and that is pretty much where they lived. One weekend I was at my friend Gina's house in San Antonio. She is a great cook and uses recipes all the time. I noticed she had hers organized in white 3 ring binders, so I took a picture with my phone.
O. K. That was three years ago. But, organizing my recipes was a definite Bucket List item for me in my continued quest of discovering how to LIVE WELL.
So my friends......this is what I did this week.
Supplies (many of which I took from the kids' old school supplies):
- Sparkling Water (a must)
- Music to keep you entertained
- 3 ring Binders of differing sizes
- Plastic Sheets
- Labels for Notebooks
- Pencil & Marker
It was time consuming and a little messy, but very easy! I even took some cookbooks that I only use a few recipes out of and tore them out.
I have learned to be full of grace for myself, so I don't need to be impressed with my handwriting, spelling, or precise technique in putting labels on notebooks. I am so glad I did it. Yeah!!
I hope you find this helpful and I would love to hear any of your thoughts or suggestions!
